The comet was due North nearly halfway between Polaris and Capella, with a bright waxing
gibbous Moon nearby. My 9x63 binoculars could not see it with a bright Moon nearby. Only a photograph could pick it up... Canon 60D, 50mm, 2 secs, 3200 ISO |

The comet was very close to the bright star Capella, which made it much
easier to find, even with a rising full Moon to the East. Canon 60D, 200mm, 2 secs, 3200 ISO |
